592: Your Brain on Gratitude

Whether you practice it or not, everyone has heard of gratitude.  The good news is that it is all around us, at least references to it.  If you don't currently have some daily practice of expressing gratitude you may be missing out on some serious opportunities for happiness and growth.

Gratitude may sound like a very woo woo expression but as you know, I am not one to let things slide without some research.  Today I want to share a way that you can become happier by being grateful.  It's not some feel good, half baked theory.  It's real science, real biology.

On today's episode I will talk about the Reticular Activating System and how gratitude brings it alive.

What You Will Learn in this Episode:

  • What the Reticular Activating System is
  • How your RAS scans your environment when you are grateful
  • A basic gratitude practice you can start today
