586: Feeling Foggy? It could be Your Gut: The Link between Your Brain and Your Gut

One of the biggest surprises for me this past couple of months has been the knowledge that neurotransmitters are created in the brain and the body, specifically the gut.  It seems there is another reason to make sure that your gut is healthy, and that is for mental health.

Today I talk about how a healthy gut increases mental health, from simple focus and concentration to bigger challenges like autism and anxiety.

In this Episode, You Will Learn:

  • Why the gut is referred to as the second brain
  • How gut health impacts mood
  • What psychological illnesses are linked to poor gut health
