549: How Viewing and Creating Art Benefits the Mind and Body

With the weekend here what do you have planned. Have you thought about going to an art museum?  Depending on who you are chances are good you will either attend a sporting event or simply catch up on errands or watch TV.  Why would you do that?  You know they won't benefit you right?  Neither of them.  Of course you will be entertained, but wouldn't it be cooler to be entertained and give your body and mind a boost.

That is exactly what happens when you view art.  It doesn't need to be masters either.  Studies show that there are huge mental and physical benefits of taking in a day at the museum.

Today I talk about what those benefits are as I encourage you to step outside your typical Saturday and do something you might not do, go to a museum.
