763: Reveling in the Age You Are

Our culture here in the United States is very youth oriented.  That may be the biggest understatement that I have made here on ZEN commuter.  What does that mean for people that are not in their twenties?  It means that subtly you are cast aside, told that you don't matter because you aren't the demographic advertisers are marketing towards.

Unless you have a strong sense of self, as you age you will buy into the misperception that you are becoming more and more obsolete.

I can't let that happen.  Regardless of your age, you are a pivotal part of this world.  Regardless of age you have things to learn and things to teach.  Let's find out all the cool things you can do, at any age.

Things you will learn in this episode:

  • The benefits and drawbacks of any age
  • Cultures that respect age and wisdom
  • How to stop buying into societal pressures about aging
