664: 7 Questions to Ask Yourself to Avoid Packing on Holiday Pounds

The holiday season is upon us.  In the United States, Thanksgiving marks the beginning of overeating, overspending and overindulging in many different vices.  In fact, in regards to eating, the average American will gain 7 pounds between Thanksgiving and January 2nd.

There are many strategies to help keep those calories off, but the root of the issue is what I want to get to today.  On today's show I want to talk about 6 questions to ask yourself before you reach for that next helping of mashed potatoes or slice of pumpkin pie.

These questions are not just good for the holiday but for all year round.  By asking them each time you go for food, you will start a healthier way of eating, mindful eating.

What You Will Learn in This Episode:

  • How to curb mindless eating
  • 7 Questions to ask yourself to avoid mindless snacking
  • Why comfort food equals weight gain
