322: Sybil Chavis Lets You Know that Waiting Is Over
Have you been waiting on something to show up in your life for awhile? Maybe you’ve been working to accomplish something and you’re so ready for things to fall into place. Or, maybe you’ve been working through problem after problem and you really want things to finally work out.
Many of us (myself definitely included) have been managing through a “season of waiting”. Do you feel likeit’s been a long road? I know I do. Of course it’s been worthwhile and an important part of our journey. I get that and I definitely appreciate the fact that everything really does happen for a reason.
But, my oh my! … it’s been a wild ride hasn’t it?
There have been the “highs” – those times when you felt really good and confident. You thought you were doing the right things and it was only a matter of time before things fell into place. But then things didn’t exactly work out as you planned. So, then came the “not so highs” – those times when everything felt hard. Your doubts surfaced continually trying to overshadow your faith that everything would work out.
Here’s the good news. It’s time for this “season of waiting” to be over. It’s time. It’s finally time.
You’ve gotten stronger. You’ve learned so much about yourself and what you’re truly capable of. Your faith has been stretched. Your belief in what is possible has expanded. You’ve made it through so much and every single thing that happened has led you to this point.
And, Now It’s Time.
It’s time to live into what you’ve wanted for so long. You’ve found your way. All you need to do is continue taking steps forward and say “thank you” as more things fall into place. But, oftentimes understanding that you can simply “live into it” can be the hardest thing to do. It’s where you can get stuck for too long if you’re not careful.
Your mind tries to convince you that it’s too early to completely believe.
Don’t get your hopes up. You’ll just be more disappointed if things don’t work out.
You’re not there yet. Everything still hasn’t fallen into place… Or, any of the other doubts the Chief Negativity Officer in your mind is notorious for saying.
Well, Today is the day to stop listening to the Chief Negativity Officer and start choosing to live into what you want. Of course there are still steps to take and more things need to happen. There will always be something more. But today, it’s no longer about “waiting”. You’ve got to start claiming and living into what you want.
How Do You Live Into What You Want?
You start noticing and appreciating all the little signs and assurances that are already showing up. You’ve had those “great days” when something fell into place. You’ve had moments when you’ve had a taste of how good it is going to feel when everything works out. Those moments and tastes of goodness aren’t meant to be fleeting. You’re meant to experience them, remember how they feel and then choose to have them every single day.
There’s no need to wait for every single thing to show up before you start appreciating it’s happening and feeling great. You rest in the feelings that you’ve done it and benefit from all the positive energy that naturally flows from there. You choose to overshadow every single doubt that works against you. That’s what it means to live into what you want.
You realize that you’re there. It’s like one of my favorite quotes explains:
“The fastest way to “get there” in life is to stand firm in the knowledge that you’re already there.” Marianne Williamson
There’s no need to wait any longer. Your season of waiting is over. But, you must choose to live into what you want. Claim It Today. It’s Time.
The Possibility of Today: Living Into What You Want
1. Morning Boost. Start the day right. Take 10 minutes to focus on What’s Already Working. Say 10 Thank You(s) for everything you already have. Notice how good it feels when you focus on the right thoughts.
2. Laugh. Even though you may have a lot going on it doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun at times. Enjoy the people around you. It’s like that great quote by Jarod Kintz says, “Laughter is the sound of the soul dancing.” Dance a little. You’ll feel better and that will get your good energy flowing so even more things can fall into place.
3. Overshadow Your Chief Negativity Officer. If your CNO starts focusing on negative thoughts, stop whatever you’re doing and take 10 minutes to take some deep breaths and reset. Go for a walk. Have a quick mini-meditation or call a friend that is positive and full of good energy.
Live Today Better than Yesterday.
