268: 8 Ideas to Help You Slow Down

Listen to this episode and all others below

"I like that kind of frantic schedule.  It makes me feel like I have a purpose" - Sara Gilbert

"Everything we do is infused with the energy in which we do it. If we're frantic, life will be frantic. If we are peaceful, life will be peaceful." - Marianne Williamson

The belief that the world is getting faster, that our pace is quickening, is merely a perception.  Each of us has the ability to slow down or race about.  It's not technology based.  It is all internal.  Have you ever watched a documentary about other cultures?  In Africa, there are thousands of people that go about their days with purpose at a leisurely pace.

If you are thinking that technology is the cause of our heightened pace I would disagree.  You don't have to own technology and even if you do you don't need to use it cram three days worth of tasks into 24 hours.

Take responsibility for your pace, hurried or calm.  If it is the former then listen to today's episode and find eight ways to slow down.
